![]() Sid Lloyd, President and CEO Lifestyle Center of America, wrote: "We are in the process of preparing for a January launch of a revolutionary new, easy to use, diet book. I almost hate to use the term "diet book" because it is so much more than a diet book, it's actually more like a healthy nutrition guide disguised as a diet book. Using the latest evidence-based research in behavior change, we have drawn on our 14 year experience of working with over 4,000 individuals to craft a beautiful and unique book that truly delivers results. We will launch The Full Plate Diet (sounds filling right?) in January of 2010." As part of its vision for 2010, involving an emphasis on youth, health, family life, and stewardship, the Bermuda Conference has given The Full Plate Diet to all its employees. Written by a team of Seventh-day Adventist doctors from the Lifestyle Center of America, The Full Plate Diet states, "Feeling better, living longer, and having fewer health problems are just added benefits you get for free." It is the prayer of the Bermuda Conference that good health will make a positive contribution to a happy and productive workforce. Bermuda Conference is also championing the "Live Healthy 100 Day Wellness Challenge ." Based on the nationwide "Live Healthy America", "Live Healthy Bermuda" is a web-based and teamwork-driven program that motivates and teaches individuals and organizations how to make positive and lasting changes to achieve a healthy lifestyle through increased physical activity, improved diet, and weight loss over the course of 100 days. For further information, go to adventistbermuda.org. Finally, when the problems seem too much to bear, all Bermuda Conference staff have access to the completely confidential and anonymous professional services of the Ministry Care Line, provided by the Conference at no cost to the employee. There they have access to a trained Christian mental health professional selected and employed by Kettering Counseling Care Center, a part of Kettering Medical Center. Comments (0)
