Hundreds turned out to the Hamilton Youth Center on a Saturday night for the opening night of the Family Enrichment Series with Dr. Alanzo Smith and they were not disappointed.

With his unique presentation style, his great sense of humor and his emphasis on the family, Dr. Smith captured and held the attention of those who packed the center on 27 February 2010.

Many are asking will my marriage last? How do I teach my children values to live by? How do I become a better spouse and individual? The Bermuda Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is conducting this 30-day Family Enrichment campaignto address these and many other issues. The campaign, which began on 27February 2010 and is being held at the Hamilton Youth Center on King Street features International Speaker, author and renowned Family Therapist, Dr. Alanzo Smith.

When you attend this event, you can expect to hear Dr. Smith to address issues such as Music, Suicide, Infidelity, living single, dealing with anger and building a marriage that lasts. “This campaign has one focus. The family. Our goal is ”to build stronger families against all odds,” said Dr. Smith.

Dr. Jeffrey O. Brown, president, Bermuda Conference of Seventh-day Adventists had this to say, “For the first time in Bermuda Conference, we’ll be conducting a thirty-day campaign dedicated to strengthening families all across the Island. Almost all of society’s ills can be traced directly to the collapse of family life - Gangs, blue collar crime, white collar crime, murder and rape just to name a few. Family breakdown is as serious as global warming, the economic meltdown, and the war on terror. We, in the Bermuda Conference are raging war on all threats to family life.”

The meetings are being held at The Hamilton Youth Centre (41 King Street, Hamilton) February 27 - March 27, 2010 nightly at 6:30pm, except Mondays and Thursdays. A light supper will be served from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00p.m. Homework assistance will be available and rooms will be designated for parental counseling from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The campaign will also feature health sessions on Sundays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

We invite all families across the island to attend this definitive series.

Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. Psalm 127:1, NIV

Life's Important Questions

Who is God? Does God Exist?

Who is God to you? How do you view God?Maybe you see Him as a distant being, unconcerned about the world?
